Twitter was launched in 2006 and its success has continued to grow ever since to the extent of practical world domination. With over 500 million active users in the world today, it's safe to say everybody who is 'anybody' is tweeting whether it's to spread the latest breaking news and celebrity gossip or to share those mundane tasks of everyday life. Twitter is no longer just a social networking site, it's a revolution. Tweeting is the way forward.

Intro

On this blog I will be exploring media within the online age and how modern day media is constantly changing and advancing to meet the needs of an ever-demanding society. For example, where once the public relied on the print industry to receive the latest news stories three days after they had happened, today, it is instantly accessible online within seconds of it happening; it's quick, it's simple and it's free. It is these types of developments in technology and distribution that I will be investigating throughout this blog.
